Signify Obtains EcoVadis Platinum Medal with a Score of 88 out of 100
Dutch lighting manufacturer Signify announced the achievement of an EcoVadis Platinum medal accompanied by an overall score of 88 out of 100, presented as its highest level reached to date. This recognition concerns the management of its sustainability approach and comes for the seventh consecutive year.
A Score of 100 out of 100 on the Environmental Component
Signify indicates it achieved an overall score of 88 out of 100, an increase compared to the rating of 84 in the previous evaluation. The company specifies it reached 100 out of 100 on the Environment theme.
According to the group, this result reflects its approach to climate action and circularity, with the definition of science-based environmental objectives, improvements in energy efficiency, the use of 100% renewable electricity and the deployment of repair, reuse, take-back and recycling programs.
The Platinum medal places Signify among the top 1% of companies rated by EcoVadis over the preceding twelve months, a distinction obtained for the seventh consecutive year.
Four Themes and Twenty-One Evaluation Criteria
EcoVadis evaluates the quality of a company's sustainability management system based on twenty-one criteria grouped into four themes: Environment, Labor and Human Rights, Ethics and Responsible Purchasing. The rating is based on policies, actions and reported results, supported by documented evidence and external sources.
Maurice Loosschilder, Signify's sustainability manager, indicated that customers are increasingly seeking clear evidence of how their partners manage sustainability, with the EcoVadis assessment offering them greater transparency while helping the group identify areas for improvement.
