Société Générale to Divest Its Retail Securities Account Management to Crédit Mutuel Arkéa
Société Générale and Crédit Mutuel Arkéa have signed a memorandum of understanding for the sale of Société Générale Securities Services' Retail Account Keeping and Custody (TCC) activity. The acquisition would be carried out by ProCapital, a specialized subsidiary of Crédit Mutuel Arkéa.
The divested activity includes the management of securities transactions, payment of coupons and dividends, as well as the maintenance of positions in Ordinary Securities Accounts (CTO) and Equity Savings Plans (PEA) for the retail banking segment in France, operated by Société Générale Securities Services. ProCapital would become the securities service provider for the SG Network in France, BoursoBank, and Societe Generale Private Banking in France.
