Solvay shares slip below 250-session floor and decline 2%
The Belgian chemicals company extends its retreat mid-morning, in a declining Paris market. The session comes just days after the upward revision of its annual outlook in the wrong direction and a broker's target adjustment.
A new low breached in a title already below all its averages
The Solvay share is trading at €23.10 and falling 2.04% during the session, after a decline of 7.3% over the week. The price has fallen below €23.58, which marked the low of the last 250 sessions and is now becoming a resistance level. The stock is also below its three moving averages, with gaps of 6.06% on the MA20, 8.66% on the MA50 and 12.13% on the MA200, with an RSI at 26.
The SBF 120 is declining 1.47% at the same time, and the stock ranks at the bottom of the index. The decline of 17.62% over one year illustrates the trend.
