According to the press release, SPIE, the European leader in multi-technical services, has acquired Cyqueo, a Munich-based company specializing in cybersecurity. Cyqueo is known for its solutions in Zero Trust, cloud security, endpoint protection, and managed security services. The company protects approximately 1.6 million users and boasts significant expertise, with an average of 16 certifications per employee. It is also one of the main partners of Zscaler and Proofpoint in Germany.
Strategic Expansion
SPIE states that this acquisition expands its cybersecurity service portfolio and enhances its consulting and integration capabilities for complex IT infrastructures. Founded in 2003 by Philipp and Patric Liebold, Cyqueo complements and enriches SPIE's offerings with its expertise in cloud-native solutions. Cyqueo currently employs 28 people and reported a revenue of approximately 20 million euros in 2024.
Corporate Strategy
SPIE emphasizes that the acquisition of Cyqueo, a well-established player in the German market, aligns with its development strategy. The company employs about 55,000 people and is committed to the decarbonization of the economy and digital transformation. For the year 2024, SPIE reported a consolidated revenue of 9.9 billion euros and an EBITA of 712 million euros, according to the group.
