Triodos Bank, world's leading arranger in clean energy for the tenth year
Beyond the number of deals, independent analyst Clean Energy Pipeline has integrated the value of financings into a new influence score, where Triodos Bank ranks second worldwide, according to a bank press release published on 29 October 2026.
Leading arranger by number of deals, for the tenth year
According to Triodos Bank's press release, Clean Energy Pipeline has named the bank the most active arranger worldwide in clean energy by total number of transactions. Triodos Bank states that it has held this top position for the tenth year.
In the influence score, which combines the total value of project financings and the number of transactions, the bank is only surpassed by Germany's Norddeutsche Landesbank. According to the bank, it ranks ahead of some of the largest global financiers in the sector.
Both rankings cover the main renewable production and storage technologies: solar photovoltaic, onshore and offshore wind, and battery storage systems. The bank specifies that it has paid no remuneration to Clean Energy Pipeline, whose rankings reflect only past transaction activity.
Storage, grids and solar among highlighted financings
The bank links this ranking to the new energy vision launched earlier in the year, which prioritises energy storage, local electricity grids, energy efficiency and circular supply chains.
Among the transactions cited is the financing of LEAP24, an operator of fast charging stations for electric commercial vehicles in the United Kingdom and the Netherlands. In Spain, Triodos Bank and the Catalan Institute of Finance provided €22 million to Estabanell for a 62.8 MWp solar portfolio.
In Belgium, the bank is among the financiers of two battery parks announced in June by its client Storm, for a total dispatchable capacity of 300 MW. Its wholly owned subsidiary Triodos Investment Management also manages an energy infrastructure debt mandate for a large Dutch pension fund.
