Valeo Completes €45M Modernization Plan at Angers Site
Valeo has completed the implementation of its modernization plan at the Angers site, spanning from 2023 to 2026, to enhance its production capacity in automotive lighting systems. This €45M investment is part of the Valeo Elevate 2028 strategy and supports a recruitment drive in the French hub.
The modernization plan, carried out from 2023 to 2026, enabled a major transformation of the thermoplastic injection workshops to deploy new optical technologies. The site now boasts an industrial park equipped with 25 injection presses, 5 varnishing lines, 11 assembly lines, and 181 robots. These investments align with the growth objectives outlined in the Valeo Elevate 2028 strategic plan, in a rapidly expanding automotive lighting market.

The Angers factory, in conjunction with the Blois site, employs over 1,200 highly skilled workers and delivers 9,000 headlamps and 22,000 complex modules daily to major global manufacturers. Valeo has been chosen by several European manufacturers to equip their vehicles with complex bi-color optical glasses. The site benefits from a strong innovation capability supported by an R&D center with 24 ongoing development projects, including 6 major projects specifically assigned to Angers. These processes increasingly incorporate digital tools and artificial intelligence for predictive simulation and real-time validation of systems.
