VGP launches its 12th logistics park in Italy, in Reggio Emilia
Logistics parks developer and real estate company VGP has announced the launch of a new park in the province of Reggio Emilia. This expansion extends the group's development strategy along major Italian logistics and industrial corridors.
A twelfth Italian park located on the Milan-Bologna axis
VGP has started construction of VGP Park Reggio Emilia Gavassa, its first business park in the province of Reggio Emilia and its seventh in Emilia-Romagna. This is the group's twelfth park in Italy, a market where it has been present since 2018. The site represents a land area of 206,000 m² with a rental space of approximately 95,000 m² distributed across four buildings. It is located approximately 10 km from the A1 motorway exit, on the corridor connecting Milan, Reggio Emilia and Bologna. The buildings, ranging in size from approximately 7,500 to 13,500 m², are intended for logistics and production activities. The largest, at approximately 64,000 m², has been designed and approved to offer a clear height of up to 20 meters, at the request of a tenant.
Savino Del Bene, first tenant, and environmental objectives
Savino Del Bene, an Italian multinational specializing in international freight transport and logistics, has leased an entire building in the park, covering 9,000 m². The tenant will develop a facility designed to support the expansion of its transport operations in Italy and international markets. The lease drafting process was managed by Colliers Italia. The park aims for BREEAM Excellent certification and incorporates green spaces and landscaping measures. The buildings will be equipped with photovoltaic systems on the roof and the project is developed according to European taxonomy criteria, with a rainwater collection and reuse system.
