A €210 Million Hospital Contract
The CHU of Reims has entrusted Vinci Construction with the construction of the second building of the new hospital complex. The contract, awarded to a consortium led by Pargade Architectes, has a total value of €210M excluding taxes, of which €157M will be allocated to Vinci Construction. The construction period is set at 45 months, during which the facility must remain fully operational.
The building, named Madeleine Brès in tribute to the first French woman to earn a medical degree, will span seven floors covering a total of 58,000 sqm and will house 498 beds. It will consolidate medical activities, particularly in the fields of chronic diseases and neuroscience, as well as reception and diagnostic areas, technical platforms, hospitalization zones, the hospital pharmacy, and logistical spaces.
Continued Partnership with CHU of Reims
This new contract continues Vinci Construction's commitment to the CHU of Reims, where the company was already involved in constructing the first building of the complex. Concurrently, the group is undertaking several significant hospital projects in France: the construction of the 'Nouvelle Lariboisière' building for the Public Assistance-Hospitals of Paris, the new CHU of Nantes, the new Metropolitan Hospital of Artois in Lens, the reconstruction of the Chaumont hospital, the CHU of Caen, and the Hôtel-Dieu of the AP-HP in Paris. Vinci Energies is also engaged in several projects and technical lots related to hospital facilities.
Integration into the Complex and Modernization of Healthcare Services
The Madeleine Brès building will be integrated into the existing hospital complex to ensure continuity of flows between structures. The overall project for the new hospital aims to modernize the healthcare services of the CHU of Reims by leveraging cutting-edge equipment, improving the quality of care for outpatient services, and enhancing services for hospitalized patients. The CHU is investing a total of €564M in this extensive real estate renovation program.
