Vinci stock breaks through its 110.50 € support level and extends its decline
The share of the concessions, energy and construction group is posting a sharp decline this Tuesday, while the CAC 40 is nonetheless holding up well. Selling pressure is mounting on a stock already weakened by several weeks of losses, now trading below all of its key moving averages.
A 2.74% decline that places Vinci among the biggest losers in the CAC 40 this morning
The Vinci stock is down 2.74% to 108.10 € during the session, while the CAC 40 is up 0.22% in the same period. This divergence places the stock among the index's sharpest declines on Tuesday, alongside Eiffage which is down 3.25%. Today's decline adds to an already heavy underlying trend: -5.47% over one month and -16.91% over three months, representing one of the most significant declines among major French blue-chip stocks.
The share buyback program, executed at approximately 65% since its launch in late August (161 million euros repurchased out of 250 million announced), has failed to reverse the downward momentum. When the group published its first-half 2026 results on July 29, it had nonetheless struck a confident tone, anticipating further growth in its revenue, operating results and free cash flow expected to reach 6 billion euros.
Vinci below its three moving averages, the 110.50 € support level already breached
From a technical standpoint, the configuration of Vinci remains deteriorated. The price is below its 20-day MA at 111.99 € (gap of -3.47%), below its 50-day MA at 117.25 € (-7.80%) and below its 200-day MA at 124.40 € (-13.10%): the three moving averages form a set of resistance levels that the stock has failed to break back above for several weeks, as already noted in analyses published on September 17. More significantly: the price has broken below the 110.50 € support threshold, which had already been tested in September.
The RSI at 42 remains in neutral territory but oriented downward, with no immediate rebound signal. The next technical reference point to monitor is the 120.35 € resistance level, very far from the current price, which underscores the considerable distance that needs to be covered to reverse the medium-term trend.
