Vinci stock rebounds but remains below its three moving averages
The share of the concessions and construction group is gaining ground this Thursday, in a rising CAC 40, after posting a decline of nearly 13% over three months. Two recent developments are providing some relief to this session: an analyst opinion published yesterday and a contract secured by VINCI Energies in Sweden.
Grupo Santander initiates a neutral opinion with a 133 € target on Vinci
Grupo Santander published on Wednesday, September 16 an opinion on Vinci, setting its analyst consensus at "neutral" with a price target of 133 €. This level implies an upside potential of approximately 18% compared to the current price of 112.80 €, reflecting a measured appreciation of valuation without any strong bullish conviction. At the same time, VINCI Energies signed on September 16 a contract with Vattenfall in Stockholm, through its Omexom brand, concerning the operation of the electrical distribution network in the south of the Swedish capital for approximately 30 M€ per year.
These two elements occur within a context of marked decline of the share over the past three months, with the price evolving significantly below its three reference moving averages. The 20-day MA at 114.70 €, the 50-day MA at 118.48 € and the 200-day MA at 124.74 € thus form a triple moving ceiling above the current price, a sign that the underlying trend remains oriented downward. When publishing H1 2026 results on July 29, the group had targeted a new increase in its revenue and operating results, with free cash flow potentially reaching 6 billion euros.
A modest rebound in a favorable market, but under pressure from moving averages
The Vinci share gains 0.71% during the session at 112.80 €, aligning with a CAC 40 that advances 0.6% during trading. This gain remains modest compared to the 6.66% decline over one month, and the share ranks 15th in the CAC 40: neither among the leaders nor among the laggards. The RSI at 39 reflects a configuration under pressure without reaching the clear oversold zone where it stood just last week, around 31 to 33. The support at 110.55 € remains the reference low level to monitor: tested on September 11, it had enabled a partial rebound.
Conversely, the first significant resistance is located at 126.60 €, representing approximately a 12% gap from the current price. Moreover, the construction sector outlook weighs in the background: August 2026 data indicate a construction climate in France at -18.2 and production down 5.2% year-on-year, illustrating the difficult environment in which the group's building activity operates. In this context, the support at 110.55 € represents the immediate technical benchmark, at which the share had already found buyers on September 11.
