Virbac share briefly breaks through its 302 € support before rebounding
The veterinary laboratory from Carros is declining in trading in a pressured Paris market, as the SBF 120 loses more than one percentage point amid budgetary uncertainty in France. The decline brings the share below its main moving averages, in a monthly and quarterly momentum that remains negative.
An intraday break through the 302 € support quickly recovered, but pressure remains present
The Virbac share is down 2.09% at 305 € in trading, after briefly falling below its 302 € support during the morning session, with a low touched at 301.50 €. The share quickly moved back above this threshold, returning around 302 €, but the configuration remains tense. Over one month, the decline reaches 5.43%, and over three months it exceeds 8%.
The share is trading below its three moving averages: the MA20 at 310.70 € (gap of 1.83%), the MA50 at 324.93 € (gap of 6.13%) and the MA200 at 345.21 € (gap of 11.65%). The RSI at 45 remains in neutral territory, with no marked signal of selling exhaustion for the time being. The next resistance to watch is located at 332 €, well above the current price.
A solid first half and confirmed objectives, but governance was also strengthened in late September
The fundamental backdrop remains constructive. When publishing H1 2026 results on July 20, 2026, Virbac had confirmed its annual objectives, positioning itself in the upper end of its growth range, with projected revenue of 1,574.5 million euros. The group had then posted organic growth of 7.4% in the first half, in a context of share decline that had led to a difficult session on September 18.
Furthermore, the composition of the board of directors changed effective September 17, 2026: a censor joined the board and the audit committee was strengthened with a new member, according to a press release dated September 28. These governance adjustments are part of a normalization period following the results. In a Paris market weighed down by tension on French sovereign debt, with the 10-year OAT approaching its highest level since July 2008 at 4.75% according to the Banque de France statement from September 30, the 302 € support remains the immediate threshold to confirm in order to stabilize the price.
