Virtualware signs agreement in South Korea with a group of over 1.8 million students
Virtualware, a Basque publisher of immersive software listed on Euronext Growth Paris, continues its development in Asia. With its partner GlobePoint, it has just concluded a memorandum of understanding with Korean Education Group, a private group claiming over 1.8 million students.
A memorandum of understanding to deploy VIROO in KEG's ecosystem
Virtualware (EPA: ALVIR), its South Korean partner GlobePoint and Korean Education Group (KEG) have signed a memorandum of understanding aimed at introducing the VIROO platform into KEG's educational ecosystem.
The scope covers vocational training, digital academies, computer science and video game development curricula, industry-oriented learning programs as well as higher education initiatives.
The signature took place at Edtech Korea, the Korean trade show dedicated to educational technologies. Virtualware indicates that the agreement establishes a cooperation framework designed to support KEG's "Vision 2030" strategy through immersive and real-time 3D technologies.
The profile of Korean Education Group and the role of GlobePoint
KEG ranks among South Korea's leading private education groups, with nearly two decades of experience. The group serves over 1.8 million students through a national network of 64 campuses and 8 specialized academy brands, including SBS Academy Computer Art, SBS Academy Game School, Korea IT Academy and Korea Culinary Art Academy.
It also relies on four subsidiaries dedicated to marketing, digital platforms, IT services and business acceleration.
GlobePoint will provide its local expertise, market knowledge and strategic support to maximize the impact of VIROO within the ecosystem.
KEG's growth strategy through 2030
According to the press release, KEG's "Vision 2030" strategy aims to increase the group's revenues from 200 billion won (130 million euros) to 500 billion won (325 million euros).
This announcement comes following the agreement signed at the end of August 2026 by Virtualware to acquire British company Virtalis, a transaction valued at 5 million euros with a variable supplement, with completion expected in September 2026.
