ABN AMRO: Michiel Lap Appointed Chairman of the Supervisory Board
ABN AMRO announces the appointment of Michiel Lap as Chairman of its Supervisory Board, effective at the close of the general meeting on April 22, 2026. The bank also announces the appointment of Jean-Pierre Mustier as a new member of the Supervisory Board.
Leadership Transition at ABN AMRO
Michiel Lap, currently Vice-Chairman and a member of the Supervisory Board since 2019, will be appointed Chairman of the Supervisory Board of ABN AMRO Bank N.V., effective from the closure of the annual general meeting on April 22, 2026. He will succeed Tom de Swaan, who will retire from his role as Chairman after nearly eight years.
New Appointment to the Supervisory Board
ABN AMRO announces the appointment of Jean-Pierre Mustier to the Supervisory Board for a four-year term. This appointment is subject to approval by the European Central Bank. Jean-Pierre Mustier, an experienced international banker, currently serves on the Supervisory Board of Deutsche Börse. He has previously held the positions of CEO and Chairman of Atos (2023-2025) and CEO of UniCredit (2016-2021). His appointment will be put to a vote at the general meeting of shareholders.
