Airwell, Synerpod, and CETIH Join Forces to Install One Million Heat Pumps Annually
SYNERPOD, AIRWELL GROUP, and CETIH announce their alliance to meet the government's goal of installing one million heat pumps per year by 2030. This collective effort positions the three French players at the forefront of the residential energy transition.
Strategic Alliance Formed
The alliance brings together SYNERPOD, a startup from Vendée founded in 2021, AIRWELL GROUP, a French manufacturer of heat pumps since 1947, and CETIH, a French industrial group specializing in home renovation. This partnership aims to deploy the Enerpod on a large scale, a prefabricated all-in-one module that includes a quiet heat pump, a hot water tank, a dual-flow ventilation system, and an intelligent monitoring system. The heat pumps integrated into the Enerpod modules are manufactured at the AIRWELL factory in Plabennec, Brittany, ensuring national production aligned with government priorities on industrial sovereignty.
Environmental and Comfort Benefits
According to the press release, the Enerpod could reduce CO? emissions by up to 60% while enhancing the comfort of residents. The off-site prefabricated module offers a reduction in construction time by 20 to 30% and maintenance that is accessible from the outside. The intelligent monitoring system identifies excessive consumption and allows for solving 80% of issues remotely, without on-site visits. A variant designed for small residential buildings up to 25 units, the Enerpod XL, optionally incorporates energy storage and rainwater recovery.
Impact and Growth
Since January 1, 2024, SYNERPOD has been contributing to the energy renovation of 400 homes for social housing landlords as part of the MASH EnergieSprong project in Pays de la Loire. The company is also developing new housing operations for almshouses and individual social housing. SYNERPOD has shown significant growth, with its turnover increasing from 760,000 euros in 2023 to 15.8 million in 2025, and a projection of 80 million by 2031. CETIH, a shareholder in SYNERPOD since its inception, reports an annual turnover of 215 million euros and employs 1,200 staff.
