Argan Launches a €500 Million Green Bond Oversubscribed by 5.5 Times
Argan announced on Thursday the successful launch of its inaugural green bond issue of €500 million maturing in October 2029, which was heavily oversubscribed. This operation allows the French real estate company specializing in premium warehouses to refinance a previous issue and secure its financing profile.
Successful Placement with Diverse Investors
The green bond, oversubscribed by 5.5 times, was placed with a wide range of French and international institutional investors. It carries an annual coupon of 3.779% and is part of a Green Financing Framework established by the company. This first green bond issuance demonstrates investor confidence in Argan's strategy, the quality of its BBB- credit rating with a stable outlook by Standard & Poor's, as well as the environmental performance of its portfolio.
Refinancing and Strengthening Financial Strategy
This operation will allow the repayment of the 2021 bond issue amounting to €500 million. The settlement-delivery of the bonds is scheduled for April 30, 2026. The bonds will be admitted to trading on Euronext Paris. Argan emphasizes that this issuance marks an important milestone and enables the group to confidently continue the deployment of its medium-term growth strategy, supported by a solid financial structure, a prudent debt policy, and a strengthened financing profile.
