ABL Diagnostics: its Texcell division partners with Abionyx Pharma on CER-001
ABL Diagnostics announced on September 10, 2026 the conclusion of a partnership between its Texcell division and Abionyx Pharma. Texcell will conduct safety and viral clearance studies related to the candidate drug CER-001.
Texcell selected for viral safety studies of CER-001
ABL Diagnostics (Euronext Paris: ABLD), specializing in molecular diagnostic solutions, health software and clinical research services, has concluded a strategic partnership with Abionyx Pharma (FR0012616852), a biopharmaceutical company developing therapies for sepsis and intensive care based on an apoA-I technology platform.
Under this agreement, the Texcell division will conduct safety and viral clearance studies associated with the preparation of validation batches for the CER-001 manufacturing process, a candidate biological drug developed by Abionyx Pharma in several indications, including LCAT deficiency.
A milestone in Abionyx Pharma's industrial and regulatory program
Viral safety studies aim to demonstrate the capacity of manufacturing processes to eliminate or inactivate potential viral contaminants, in accordance with the expectations of international regulatory authorities.
According to ABL Diagnostics, the solutions developed by Texcell meet the scientific, quality and regulatory standards required for the major global markets, particularly in Europe, the United States and Asia.
A convergence with ABL Diagnostics' other areas of expertise
Since its integration within ABL Diagnostics, the Texcell division has benefited from an expanded scientific environment combining viral safety, molecular diagnostics, microbiology, virology, sequencing and genomic analysis.
Chalom Sayada, Chief Executive Officer of ABL Diagnostics, stated: "The choice of Texcell to support this strategic step in the development of CER-001 illustrates the international recognition of our expertise in viral safety and clearance."
