Airbus Implements Preventive Measures for A320 Fleet
Airbus has announced the implementation of precautionary measures on a significant number of A320 family aircraft due to potential interferences caused by solar radiation, according to the company.
Detection of Solar Radiation Interferences
According to a statement from Airbus, recent analysis has shown that intense solar radiation can disrupt critical data essential for the operation of flight controls in the A320 family aircraft. As a result, a preventive action has been initiated by the group for these aircraft currently in service.
Collaboration with Aviation Authorities
Airbus has collaborated with aviation authorities to require operators to immediately implement protective measures through an Alert Operator Transmission (AOT). This action will be reflected in an emergency airworthiness directive from the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), the group indicates.
Acknowledgment of Potential Operational Disruptions
Airbus acknowledges that these recommendations may cause operational disruptions for passengers and clients. The company commits to working closely with operators to minimize any inconvenience, while maintaining safety as the top priority.
