According to a statement from Airbus, recent analysis has shown that intense solar radiation can disrupt critical data essential for the operation of flight controls in the A320 family aircraft. As a result, a preventive action has been initiated by the group for these aircraft currently in service.
Collaboration with Aviation Authorities
Airbus has collaborated with aviation authorities to require operators to immediately implement protective measures through an Alert Operator Transmission (AOT). This action will be reflected in an emergency airworthiness directive from the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), the group indicates.
