According to the statement, Alstom achieved a revenue of €9,059 million in the first half of the fiscal year 2025/26, indicating a 3% increase from the previous year. The adjusted operating income reached €580 million, up by 13%, while the adjusted operating margin increased to 6.4%, a rise of 0.5 percentage points compared to the first half of FY 2024/25. The net income attributable to the group stood at €220 million, a significant increase from €53 million in the same period of the previous year.
Commercial Successes and Strategic Contracts
Alstom reported several commercial successes during the first half, particularly in America and Asia-Pacific, with a total order volume of €10.5 billion. The company also secured significant contracts in Europe, including the supply of 96 RER NG trains to SNCF Voyageurs for €1.7 billion. Additionally, a partnership with Outokumpu was highlighted for the supply of low-carbon footprint stainless steel, underlining Alstom's commitment to sustainability.
Order Book and Future Outlook
Alstom's order book reached €96.1 billion as of September 30, 2025, providing solid visibility on future sales. The group forecasts organic revenue growth of over 5% for the fiscal year 2025/26 and anticipates an adjusted operating margin of around 7%. Alstom also expects to generate a free cash flow between €200 and €400 million.
