AMG Sets Historical Production Record in French Guiana and Improves Performance in Peru
In 2025, the gold producer AMG recorded its best production year in French Guiana with 412.12 kg of doré, surpassing the previous record set in 2023. Simultaneously, the group's Peruvian operation confirmed its recovery after two years of contraction.
A New Milestone in French Guiana
AMG's activity in French Guiana reached a new level in 2025. The annual production of 412.12 kg of doré exceeded the performance achieved in 2023, which was until then the best year on record. This achievement can be attributed to two structural factors. Firstly, the feed to the plant increased by 15,000 tonnes compared to 2024, representing nearly two months of additional supply. Secondly, the gold grades remained significant and stable throughout the year, particularly at the César site and its extensions. The stability of these metallurgical parameters, coupled with the increased volume processed, enabled the group to maximize its extraction at the Guyanese site.
Recovery in Peruvian Operations
AMG's Peruvian operations returned to performance levels seen before the crisis that impacted the activity in the previous two years. The efforts made by the teams focused on two main areas: improving the gold grades extracted at the mine and optimizing the hydrometallurgical recovery processes at the plant. These initiatives also aimed at increasing mining volumes. This set of measures produced conclusive results, marking Peru's return to its previous trajectory.
