Aperam shares rebound 3.5%, but fall 22.5% over the quarter
The stainless steel producer recovers in a well-oriented French market, after a long decline that pushed it away from its summer levels. The move comes two days before its quarterly results.
A rebound that leaves the stock far from its moving averages
The Aperam share gains 3.52% to €35.84 intraday and ranks among the strongest gains in the SBF 120, which rises 1.47%. This recovery is not enough to erase a very difficult month: the stock still falls 14.59% over this period, after breaking below its €35.40 support at the end of October. It remains below its MM20 (€36.60, a gap of 2.08%), while the MM50 at €41.71 and the MM200 at €43.14 are respectively 14.07% and 16.92% above the price.
The RSI at 39 reflects this decline without entering oversold territory. Brent crude, at $102.20 per barrel (-1.35%), is also down during the session.
Third-quarter results expected on November 6
The group will publish its third-quarter results and those for the first nine months of 2026 on November 6. On October 6, it released an update ahead of its silent period, in which it confirmed an EBITDA expected to decline in the third quarter, with energy costs estimated at around €20 million per quarter.
European demand was described as unchanged at a low level. Over three months, the stock loses 22.79%, a decline that precedes this announcement.
