Atos Becomes the First Company in the World to be Dual Certified by Scopism in Service Management
The French group Atos announced on Wednesday that it has obtained the Scopism SIAM Assured label as both a service provider and consulting firm, a unique dual accreditation at the global level according to the company.
Dual Certification in Distinct Categories
Atos has received the Scopism SIAM Assured label in two distinct categories, according to the press release published this January 22. The group has thus become the first global organization to hold this dual distinction in the field of service integration and management, also known as SIAM. This accreditation is issued by Scopism, a British organization specializing in this area, after an independent evaluation of companies' capabilities in governance, integration, coordination, and optimization of multi-supplier services. Achieving this status requires meeting stringent criteria related to SIAM practices, the group indicates.
Impressive Submission of Evidence
Claire Agutter, director at Scopism, stated in the press release that she was impressed by the quality of evidence provided by Atos. According to her, each question received a clear response based on data from standard services as well as client references describing the actual use of the services. The accreditation acts as a pre-selection process for clients, ensuring that the provider meets industry standards, she specified. This recognition simplifies the often time-consuming and resource-intensive preliminary verification processes when selecting new suppliers, according to Scopism.
A Testament to Leadership and Commitment
Michael Herron, director of Atos in the UK and Ireland, stated that this dual accreditation is a testament to the group's leadership and its ability to uphold its commitments. As a Scopism Assured SIAM member, Atos also benefits from representation on the SIAM Leadership Council, which allows it to contribute to the strategic direction of the industry on a global scale, the group specifies. Atos employs about 63,000 people and generates an annual revenue of approximately 8 billion euros. The group operates in 61 countries under two brands, Atos for services and Eviden for products, according to the press release.
