Atos: Eviden Secures Contract with Luxembourg Army for Scorpion
Eviden (a product branch of Atos Group) announced on Monday that it has won a contract with the Luxembourg Army to deploy a training platform for the SCORPION Combat Information System (SICS) and to study the digitization of Luxembourgish force vehicles. This mission is part of the cooperation agreement between Luxembourg and Belgium aimed at creating a medium combat reconnaissance battalion.
A Contract for Digital and Operational Convergence Among Three Countries
The contract involves equipping the Luxembourg Army with a training platform for the SCORPION Combat Information System (SICS) and studying the digitization of Luxembourgish force vehicles to make them interoperable with the new CaMo (Motorized Capability) vehicles. The training and study missions will be carried out by Eviden's teams and are part of the agreement signed between Luxembourg and Belgium for the creation of a medium-type combat reconnaissance battalion. The stated goal is to establish a unified operational capability among the three countries in terms of equipment, communications, and doctrines, by harmonizing technologies, materials, training, rules of engagement, and doctrines to enable coordinated interventions and rapid deployments in a coalition context.
Luxembourg Has 54 CaMo Vehicles Integrated into the Program
Luxembourg has purchased 54 CaMo 1 vehicles as part of the creation of this binational battalion. The combination of SICS and CaMo vehicles allows for the instant sharing of information among vehicles, platoons, and command posts, thus reducing the decision loop. Eviden plays the role of industrial prime contractor for SICS, responsible for the design and software development of the system, integration into vehicles and command posts, cybersecurity, and operational maintenance. The SICS is notably equipped in Griffon, Jaguar, and Serval vehicles.
