Atos Forms Partnership with the World DanceSport Federation
The French IT group has partnered with the World DanceSport Federation to accelerate the digital transformation of the sport globally, according to a statement released on Thursday.
Technological Collaboration
The partnership aims to develop multiple technology projects, including digital ticketing, competition-related services, data analytics, and fan engagement solutions. The first tangible initiative was the creation of a ticketing platform for the WDSF DanceSport Festival held from April 11 to 13, 2025, in Blackpool. According to the statement, the system recorded a significant increase in ticket sales within the first 12 hours of its launch. Atos and the WDSF are continuing this cooperation for upcoming events, including the Blackpool festival scheduled from March 25 to 29, 2026, and the Brisbane World Breaking DanceSport Festival on January 17 and 18, 2026.
Strategic Digital Partnership
The company indicates that the partnership is part of the federation's long-term digital strategy. Development focuses include intelligent competition management, enhanced broadcasting solutions, and fan engagement platforms. The World DanceSport Federation, founded in 1957 and based in Lausanne, brings together 99 national member bodies and is recognized by the International Olympic Committee. According to Nacho Moros, head of major events at Atos, quoted in the statement, this collaboration reflects the group's commitment to innovation and support for the global sports community.
Atos' Dedication to Sports and Major Events
According to the group, Atos has operated a division dedicated to sports and major events for over 30 years. The company has been the official IT partner of UEFA for national team competitions since the end of 2022 and has been collaborating with the Olympic and Paralympic movements since 1992 and 2002, respectively. The group provided IT services during the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games. Atos has also become an official partner of CONMEBOL, the South American football confederation. According to the statement, the group has nearly 67,000 employees and reports an annual turnover of nearly 10 billion euros.
