Atos Partners with the World DanceSport Federation for Digital Transformation
The IT services group Atos has announced a partnership agreement with the World DanceSport Federation (WDSF), an organization recognized by the International Olympic Committee. This collaboration aims to accelerate the federation's digital transformation on a global scale.
Initial Achievements of the Partnership
According to the press release, the first achievement of this partnership was the deployment of a ticketing and distribution platform for the WDSF DanceSport Festival held from April 11 to 13, 2025, in Blackpool, United Kingdom. The group indicates that this platform led to a significant increase in the number of tickets sold within the first 12 hours of its launch. Atos and the WDSF are now continuing their collaboration on ticketing and digital services for upcoming major events, including the WDSF DanceSport Festival Blackpool scheduled from March 25 to 29, 2026, and the Brisbane World Breaking DanceSport Festival set for January 17 and 18, 2026.
Scope of the Partnership
According to the company, this partnership aims to implement several technological projects intended to develop DanceSport internationally. Areas of development include ticketing and its digital distribution, services related to competitions, data analysis, and fan engagement solutions. According to the press release, Atos also plans to deploy competition management solutions, enhanced broadcasting tools, and fan engagement platforms. The group indicates that its expertise in data analysis, artificial intelligence, and immersive digital experiences will be mobilized for these projects.
Atos' Longstanding Commitment to Sports and Major Events
Atos has operated a division dedicated to sports and major events for over 30 years, according to the group. The company recalls that it has been the official IT partner of UEFA for national team competitions since late 2022, and has provided services at the Olympic and Paralympic Games since 1992 and 2002, respectively. The group also indicates that it provided IT services during the Paris 2024 Games. More recently, Atos became the official innovation partner for CONMEBOL, the South American football federation. The World DanceSport Federation, founded in 1957 and based in Lausanne, brings together 99 national member bodies across five continents and oversees various dance disciplines and competitions.
