Atos Recognized for Its Expertise in Data and Artificial Intelligence in Spain
The French group Atos has strengthened its position in the Spanish market for data solutions and artificial intelligence, according to an analysis published by Penteo, a technology research firm based in Spain and Portugal. This recognition comes as AI becomes a strategic lever for businesses in the country.
A Decisive Milestone for AI in Spain
According to the Data & AI 2025 Universe Report by Penteo, artificial intelligence reached a decisive milestone in Spain in 2025, moving from an experimental phase to a central pillar of organizational competitiveness. Companies now prioritize projects with measurable returns in terms of operational efficiency, revenue, and cost reduction, the analyst notes. This evolution is supported by the availability of quality, governed, and traceable data. Penteo highlights that Atos masters the entire data and AI lifecycle, from strategic definition to the industrialization of models, relying on advanced analytics, machine learning, and automation. According to Narendra Naidu, Data & AI Director at Atos, this transformation places security, accountability, and sovereignty at the core of the group's priorities, especially in projects recently delivered to the Spanish public sector.
The Emergence of a New Data and AI Integrator Profile
Penteo identifies the emergence of a new profile of data and AI integrator, capable of navigating hybrid and multicloud environments where traditional data warehouses, lakehouse architectures, and data mesh models coexist. Atos meets this demand with an approach that combines strategic consulting, technological platforms, and applied engineering, transforming isolated initiatives into scalable programs, the report specifies. This approach is particularly applied in regulated sectors such as banking, energy, industry, public sector, and health. The group recently launched the Atos Polaris platform, which integrates autonomous AI agents capable of planning, reasoning, and collaborating to automate business and software engineering processes.
Digital Sovereignty, Security, and Regulatory Compliance
Digital sovereignty, security, and regulatory compliance have become essential for organizations, driven by new European frameworks such as the Data Act and the AI Act, notes Penteo. Companies demand guarantees on data residency, model explicability, and ethical use of artificial intelligence. According to the analyst, Atos integrates data governance, cybersecurity, and AI ethics transversally in its solutions. The group has notably developed projects with the Community of Madrid and the Madrid City Council aimed at improving citizen engagement and the efficiency of public services through AI, with guarantees of regulatory compliance and data sovereignty. Atos Group employs nearly 67,000 staff and reports an annual turnover of nearly 10 billion euros.
