BIC Corporation Renews Its Board of Directors with the Appointment of Karen Guerra
On Monday, BIC Group announced the co-optation of Karen Guerra to its board of directors, replacing Carole Callebaut Piwnica who is stepping down for personal reasons. The new director will also take over as chair of the Compensation Committee.
Unanimous Decision for Co-optation
According to the press release dated December 16, the BIC Corporation board of directors unanimously decided to co-opt Karen Guerra to replace Carole Callebaut Piwnica. The latter requested to be relieved from her role as an independent director, chair of the Compensation Committee, and member of the Nominations, Governance and CSR Committee. Karen Guerra's co-optation will be submitted for ratification at the general meeting scheduled for May 2026. She has been appointed as chair of the Compensation Committee and a member of the Nominations, Governance and CSR Committee, the company states.
Extensive Executive Experience
According to the group, Karen Guerra has over two decades of executive experience in companies such as PepsiCo and Colgate-Palmolive, where she served as president and general manager for France. The newly co-opted director has also served on the boards of several international groups, including Amcor, Campari, RS Components, and Swedish Match. Since 2020, she has been a director and member of the Nominations and Compensation Committee of British American Tobacco. A British national, Karen Guerra is a graduate of the University of Manchester.

The chairman stated that Karen Guerra will bring to the board her knowledge of the industry and experience in leadership.
