Buraq Air Commits to Acquiring 10 Airbus A320neo Aircraft
Buraq Air has signed a memorandum of understanding for the purchase of 10 Airbus A320neo family aircraft at the Dubai Airshow.
Formal Agreement Signed at Dubai Airshow
Buraq Air, the first private Libyan airline, formalized its intention to purchase 10 Airbus A320neo family aircraft with a memorandum of understanding signed at the Dubai Airshow. The document was signed by Fouzi Almiqalh, Chairman of the General Assembly of Buraq Air, and Benoit de Saint Exupery, Executive Vice President of Commercial Aviation Sales at Airbus.
A Significant Step in Fleet Modernization
According to Fouzi Almiqalh, this agreement marks a significant milestone for Buraq Air in its fleet modernization process, aiming to serve more destinations. He emphasized that the efficiency and flexibility of the A320neo will be crucial in strengthening Buraq Air's core network and in providing a joint platform with Medsky Airways, a strategic partner, to enhance passenger offerings.
The A320neo: A Leader in Efficiency and Comfort
The A320neo is part of the A320 family, known for being the world's most popular single-aisle aircraft with over 19,000 global orders. This model offers fuel savings and a reduction in CO2 emissions of at least 20% compared to the previous generation, while enhancing passenger comfort with one of the widest single-aisle cabins. Airbus plans to make its aircraft 100% compatible with sustainable aviation fuels by 2030.
