Carrefour share falls below €15.60, a support level that already gave way on Thursday
The retailer declines again in early afternoon, while the CAC 40 advances. The stock passes below a technical threshold it had defended the previous day, in a Paris market where French debt remains under pressure.
A support level of €15.60 breached and all moving averages above the price
The stock loses 1.15% to €15.47, after breaking through its €15.60 support during the session, already broken on Thursday. It is now trading below all three moving averages: the MA200, the closest one, stands at €15.79, or 2.03% above the price, while the MA20 (€16.38) is 5.56% away. The RSI at 38 remains neutral, far from the oversold zone, while the decline reaches 4.15% over one week. Carrefour ranks among the biggest losers on the CAC 40, which gains 0.49% at the same time.
A price target cut to €16.50 and a context of elevated French rates
Alphavalue lowered its target from €16.60 to €16.50 on Friday, with a "reduce" rating, leaving an upside potential of around 6.7% from the current price. The Paris market is evolving in a context of tight rates: the 10-year OAT is at 4.90% on October 1st, its highest level since 2004, and the spread with the Bund reaches 1.30 percentage points. On the company side, first-half results, published on July 23rd, confirmed 2026 targets, including a €1 billion cost-saving plan with €490 million already achieved. The stock, which remains up 22% over one year, is now testing the level of its MA200 at €15.79.
