Coface Appoints Katarzyna Kompowska as Director of Strategic Partnerships
Coface announces the appointment of Katarzyna Kompowska as the Director of Strategic Partnerships effective May 1, 2026. This move is part of the strategic plan 'Power the Core' and is accompanied by the appointment of Christian Stoffel as the head of the Northern Europe region.
Katarzyna Kompowska at the Helm of Partnerships
Katarzyna Kompowska assumes her new role as Director of Strategic Partnerships, overseeing all business lines of the group. She joins the executive management committee and reports directly to Xavier Durand, CEO of Coface.
With over 30 years of experience in financial services and international business development, Kompowska joined Coface in 1992. Since 2017, she has been leading the Northern Europe region (Germany, Netherlands, and Scandinavia). She also served as the General Manager for the Central and Eastern Europe region from 2012 to 2017 and has been a member of the group's executive committee since 2012.
Christian Stoffel Takes Over Northern Europe
Christian Stoffel succeeds Katarzyna Kompowska as the General Manager of the Northern Europe region. Stoffel has been serving as the Commercial Director for Northern Europe since April 2022. He joins the executive committee and reports directly to Xavier Durand.
Stoffel joined Coface in 2019 as the Chairman of the Management Board for the German factoring entity, Coface Finanz. With nearly 30 years of experience, he has previously held various leadership positions in the financial services sector, including at TARGO Commercial Finance and GE Capital.
