Crédit Agricole Atlantique Vendée Reports Stable Net Result of €85.5 Million in 2025
On Monday, Crédit Agricole Atlantique Vendée announced its annual results as of December 31, 2025. The regional bank recorded a consolidated net result of €85.5 million, nearly stable compared to the previous year, amidst an increase in business failures in the region.
Financial Performance and Revenue Streams
As of December 31, 2025, Crédit Agricole Atlantique Vendée's Net Banking Income stood at €477.4 million, up 6.7% from €447.5 million on December 31, 2024. This increase was driven by a 5% growth in daily banking commission revenues, a 13% increase in Insurance due to lower claims, and a 4% rise in Savings. The intermediation margin remained under pressure with a 5.9% decline due to strong competition in the region, which hindered rapid margin recovery on loans and collections, but rebounded in the fourth quarter. Portfolio management revenues saw a significant 13% increase, benefiting from financial management arbitrations and participations within the Crédit Agricole Group. Gross Operating Income reached €144.0 million, up 14.2% compared to €126.1 million the previous year. However, risk costs were up 33.7% to €49.4 million from €37.0 million in 2024, marked by an increase in individual risk in the corporate and professional market sector. Despite this increase, the cost of risk represented 19 basis points of credit outstandings, with a default rate of 1.41% and a coverage ratio of non-performing exposures exceeding 54%.

The total collection balance increased by 4.9%, from €31.4 billion as of December 31, 2024, to €32.9 billion as of December 31, 2025. Credit outstandings remained virtually stable with a slight decrease of 0.2%, from €24.9 billion to €24.9 billion. The total of credit and collection balances increased by 2.7%, reaching €57.7 billion. Operating expenses amounted to €333.4 million, up 3.8% from €321.4 million in 2024, supporting technological developments, growth in banking activities, and regional investments. More than 44,500 financing projects were supported. The number of new insurance contracts reached nearly 90,000, particularly in Health insurance, up 10%, and Automotive, up 4%.
