Crédit Agricole Launches a 100% Online, Free Account Offering with No Income Requirements
Crédit Agricole is accelerating its digital transformation by introducing a completely online, free bank account offering accessible without income requirements. This new step is part of a strategy that combines digital excellence with a proximity model.
Account Opening in Less Than Ten Minutes
The 39 regional Crédit Agricole banks are launching a banking service accessible directly via the Ma Banque app. The customer onboarding process is fully digital and autonomous, relying on secure technologies including remote identity verification.
The service is free, with no income conditions, and allows customers to open an account, activate a permanent virtual card, access the Group's services, and subscribe to savings or insurance products in less than ten minutes. A credit simulation with a principle agreement can be obtained in a few minutes.
Upon opening, the customer has a virtual card available for payments and online purchases. The service is integrated with the Eko and Everyday Banking (Essential, Premium, Prestige) offers, with the option of obtaining a physical card depending on usage.
Digital Service Complemented by Human Support
The banking offer, designed for digital autonomy, is part of Crédit Agricole's historical proximity model. According to the press release, it ensures that each customer can benefit from human support at any time, directly from their smartphone or at one of the 5,300 branches spread across the French territory, with an advisor from their regional bank.
Thanks to automatic localization, the client benefits from the support of the regional bank's teams in their area. Clients can also become shareholders and participate in the collective decisions of their regional bank. The offer provides access to all the Group's services: real estate financing, consumer loans, savings, insurance, and protection of property and family.
