Crédit Agricole Reduces Its Capital by Cancelling Shares
Crédit Agricole S.A. has reduced its share capital by cancelling treasury shares, according to a company statement.
Board Decision on Share Cancellation
On November 13, 2025, the board of directors of Crédit Agricole S.A., following the authorization from the General Meeting on May 22, 2024, decided to cancel 22,886,191 treasury shares. These represent approximately 0.75% of the share capital. The cancellation was carried out as part of a share buyback program intended to offset the dilutive effect of a capital increase reserved for employees.
Details of the Share Acquisition
The cancelled shares were acquired between October 1 and October 30, 2025, for a total amount of 374,414,014 euros. This decision follows a resolution of the board of directors adopted during its meeting on May 14, 2025.
Capital Structure Post-Cancellation
Following this cancellation, the share capital of Crédit Agricole S.A. now stands at 9,077,707,050 euros, consisting of 3,025,902,350 shares. Of these, 583,317 shares remain as treasury shares under a liquidity contract with Kepler Cheuvreux as of November 13, 2025.
