Danone Shares Climb 4.14% at Mid-Session
Danone's share price increases by 4.14% mid-session, reaching 75.46 euros, marking the highest rise in the CAC 40 this Thursday morning. Meanwhile, the Paris index shows a moderate increase of 0.2%, at 8,075.96 points.
Sustained Growth Across Multiple Timeframes
This increase is part of a positive trend on multiple scales. Over the past week, the share has risen by 2.75%, which extends over three months to a gain of 11.66%. Over the year, the performance reaches 17.1%, significantly outperforming the CAC 40's increase of 7.37% over the same period. This session comes two days after the groundbreaking of the new Aut0nom logistics site in Sorigny, a project in partnership with Argan. This new 8,200 square meter site, 6,400 square meters of which are dedicated to positive cold storage, will allow Danone to double its logistical capacities in the French Grand West and distribute its dairy and plant-based products closer to consumption areas. The delivery is scheduled for the summer of 2026.
Technical Breakthrough in Stock Price
From a technical perspective, the current price slightly exceeds its technical resistance at 75.08 euros, a level that previously acted as a ceiling to upward attempts. This breach is a favorable technical signal that could pave the way for a continuation of the upward trend if volumes confirm. The stock is now trading above its upper Bollinger band at 74.96 euros, indicating an acceleration of buying and an exit from a recent consolidation phase. Moreover, Danone remains above its 50-day and 200-day moving averages, at 72.92 and 70.95 euros respectively, confirming a fundamentally constructive trend.
Stable Market Indicators Suggest Potential for Continued Movement
The Relative Strength Index, positioned at 42, remains in a neutral zone, far from overbought or oversold thresholds, leaving room for potential continuation of the movement. The MACD, although still in negative territory at -0.26, shows an improving setup with a histogram at -0.12, suggesting a gradual convergence between the signal line and the MACD line. Finally, the stock's very low beta, at -0.05, indicates almost independence from the fluctuations of the CAC 40, which may interest investors looking for low correlation with the Paris market. The trading volume represents 0.1% of the capital, a moderate level that reflects contained but sufficient activity to support the day's movement.
