AgroGeneration: wheat yield up to 4.6 t/ha, but quality down
The Ukrainian cereal and oilseed producer provided an update on the progress of its 2026 campaign and its marketing decisions, in a context of export constraints affecting Ukrainian port infrastructure.
The Company also details the orientation of its crop rotation and the status of the 2027 winter sowing campaign.
Early harvests completed and decision on sales timing
AgroGeneration completed the harvest of its early-maturing crops (winter wheat, winter barley, winter rapeseed, peas, chickpeas and flax) at the end of August 2026 on approximately 11,500 hectares, for a net volume of approximately 46,800 tonnes. Winter wheat was harvested on approximately 8,700 hectares, with an average net yield of approximately 4.6 tonnes per hectare, compared to approximately 3.0 tonnes per hectare in 2025.
The quality of wheat harvested in 2026 deteriorated compared to the previous year: approximately 16% of the harvest was classified as milling grade, compared to approximately 40% in 2025, with a significant portion classified as feed grade. The Company attributes this change to significant rainfall and high humidity levels observed before harvest.
As of the date of the announcement, AgroGeneration had not yet begun marketing its 2026 harvest. The Company indicates that it does not plan, at this stage, to sell significant volumes in a market it describes as unfavorable, with sales to be carried out gradually depending on price developments, availability of export channels and working capital requirements.
Reorientation of crop rotation and 2027 winter sowing campaign
The Group has reintroduced on an experimental basis winter barley and winter rapeseed in its winter crop portfolio, for the first time in several years, on 361 hectares. It also increased the share of flax (497 hectares in 2026, compared to 95 hectares in 2025) and chickpeas (276 hectares, compared to 80 hectares a year earlier). For the 2027 campaign, the Company plans to increase acreage dedicated to flax, notably due to selling price levels it describes as favorable.
The 2027 winter sowing campaign has begun: winter rapeseed sowing was completed on 1,067 hectares, while winter wheat sowing is expected to begin after sunflower harvest. In total, acreage dedicated to winter crops is expected to reach approximately 8,400 hectares.
The Group indicates that it continues to adapt its production, logistics and marketing decisions to current conditions, paying particular attention to cost control, working capital management and optimization of the sales schedule.
