DBV Technologies Stock Rebounds Nearly 4% and Crosses its MM20
In mid-morning trading, the French biotech company regains ground, moving against the trend of a slightly declining SBF 120. The stock is among the largest gains in the broad index, after several weeks of sliding that had brought it down to its technical supports.
The stock remains above its MM20 at €2.91 and ranks among the top gains of the SBF 120
DBV Technologies' stock is up 3.9% at €2.99 during the session, among the highest gains in the SBF 120 while the index is down 0.23%. The rebound brings the price just above the 20-day moving average (€2.91), crossed after several sessions below this threshold. However, medium-term benchmarks remain out of reach: the MM50 at €3.20 is still 6.69% above the current price, and the MM200 at €3.07 remains 2.74% above. The RSI at 43 indicates a still neutral dynamic, without signs of excess. Today's movement mitigates the monthly decline of 7.38% and that of 15.65% over three months, but the performance over one year remains largely positive, at nearly 94%. The €2.75 support, broken during the last closing, has not been retested since, with the stock now moving away from this area. The next resistance is at €3.36, a level that has capped the stock since spring.
Short positions increase to 3.45% of capital, amid dual listing on Paris-Nasdaq
According to reviewed declarations, three funds cumulatively hold 3.45% of the capital sold short, an increase of 0.55 points over thirty days (from 2.90% a month ago). This level, higher than the 3% threshold generally considered significant, reflects the continued bearish positioning of institutional investors on the stock, in a context of prolonged price slide. The month-over-month increase is moderate and does not suggest a sudden acceleration of distrust, but this point will need to be monitored in upcoming declarations. DBV Technologies remains listed on both Euronext Paris and the Nasdaq via ADS (1 ADS for 5 ordinary shares since November 2024), with Paris remaining the most liquid market despite the dual listing. The stock also joined the Euronext Tech Leaders index on June 22. The next technical milestone to watch remains the sustained crossing of the MM200 at €3.07, which would pave the way towards the resistance zone of €3.36.
