DBV Technologies stock ends up as laggard of the SBF 120 following doubts about its continued operation
The Châtillon-based biotech is declining mid-morning, following quarterly results that raise questions about its ability to continue operations. The stock is moving sharply away from the upward trend of the SBF 120 index.
Doubts about operational continuity weigh on third-quarter accounts
DBV Technologies stock is down 13.27% to €1.65, second-to-last in the SBF 120, while the index gains 1.1%. Only Pluxee is performing worse this morning. Accounts published on October 28 show a loss of $64.5 million for the quarter, following the submission of the Viaskin Peanut patch application to the FDA on September 29.
Cash and equivalents reached $165.7 million as of September 30. Management considers this amount sufficient until the third quarter of 2027, but not over the next twelve months: it reports substantial doubts about the continuity of operations and a need for additional capital. For reference, the stock had gained 2.5% on Wednesday, the day of publication.
The stock falls below its moving averages and approaches its support level at €1.57
The decline extends a downward trend established over several weeks: -20% over one month and -30% over three months.
The price is now 4.45% below its 20-day moving average and nearly 19% below its 50-day moving average, leaving little room before the support level at €1.57, barely 5% lower. The RSI at 39 remains in neutral territory.
Net declared short positions stand at 2.99% of capital, held by four funds, compared to 4.53% a month ago: the bearish bet has therefore eased over the period, although it remains present.
The next reference point for the security is the FDA decision on the Viaskin Peanut patch application, expected in the fourth quarter of 2026 if the requested priority review is granted.
