EssilorLuxottica and Meta Launch AI-Powered Ray-Ban with Prescription Lenses
EssilorLuxottica and Meta are expanding their portfolio of artificial intelligence glasses with the introduction of a new range of Ray-Ban Meta optical models, designed to be equipped with prescription lenses.
Introduction of New Models
As part of their multi-year partnership, EssilorLuxottica and Meta are introducing two new models tailored to optical needs: Ray-Ban Meta Blayzer Optics (Gen 2) and Scriber Optics (Gen 2). These new frames feature a slimmer structure, interchangeable nose pads, over-extended hinges that offer an additional 10 degrees of rotation, and adjustable arms to fit individual head shapes. A dedicated control button enables simple activation of Meta AI, access to customized shortcuts, and content capture.
Versatile and Adaptive Lenses
The Blayzer Optics and Scriber Optics models cater to a broad range of prescription lens wearers. The Ray-Ban Meta range can be fitted with advanced single-vision lenses, progressive lenses, and Transitions lenses, allowing consumers to wear the same pair of glasses regardless of lighting conditions. For the first time, the Oakley Meta Vanguard glasses will be available with Transitions lenses, providing athletes and consumers alike with optimal visual clarity and comfort without the need to switch glasses.
