According to the press release, EssilorLuxottica has formed a Scientific Advisory Committee consisting of scientists and thought leaders in the fields of science, technology, and health. The purpose of this committee is to provide strategic advice and insights on future opportunities, thereby aiding the company in advancing its research priorities, including ophthalmology, oculomics, physics, optics, audiology, artificial intelligence, and ethics.
Distinguished Experts on the Committee
The committee includes five renowned experts. Among them are Prof. Alain Aspect, winner of the 2022 Nobel Prize in Physics, and Prof. Alessio Figalli, recipient of the 2018 Fields Medal. The committee also includes Prof. Sharon Kujawa, awarded the 2017 Callier Prize, Prof. José-Alain Sahel, winner of the 2024 Wolf Prize, and Prof. Effy Vayena, an expert in bioethics. These professionals are recognized for their significant contributions to their respective fields.
