A New Two-Year Low Before a Technical Rebound

The breach below the previous floor of €173.25 was confirmed at the very start of the session, before the stock rebounded. At €172.20, EssilorLuxottica is still below the old support, now a reference zone. The technical setup remains tense: an RSI at 28 reflects the selling pressure accumulated in recent sessions, after a decline of 7.64% over the week and 33.92% over three months. Furthermore, the price is at the lower end of the Bollinger Bands, very close to the lower boundary at €172.94. The gap to the moving averages is significant: the MM50 is at €204.77, about 19% above the current price, and the MM200 at €259, illustrating the magnitude of the drop observed since February.

Solid Commercial Trajectory, but Empty Calendar in the Short Term

The contrast with the operational dynamics remains stark. At the announcement of the first quarter revenue at the end of April, the group reported revenues of €7,127 million, up 10.8% at constant exchange rates, marking a third consecutive quarter of double-digit growth. The guidance presented for the 2022-2026 plan targets a revenue of €27 to €28 billion and an adjusted operating margin of 19 to 20% by the end of the period, goals confirmed during the 9M 2025 publication. However, the financial calendar is empty in the short term: the next milestone is the publication of the semi-annual results 2026, scheduled for July 28. Until then, the stock remains exposed to the European macro context, marked by Brent around $108 and the maintenance of the ECB's key interest rates on April 30. The threshold of €173.25, the old floor now a technical ceiling, is the immediate reference following the morning's overrun.
