Eurazeo Invests in Water Treatment Technology
Eurazeo has announced that it will acquire, through its Eurazeo Transition Infrastructure Fund (ETIF), a majority stake in Water Direct, the leading UK provider of alternative water supply solutions for the public and private sectors.
Comprehensive Water Solutions
Based in Colchester, Essex and established in 1996, Water Direct offers a range of essential services including the transportation of potable water by tanker, logistics, bulk or bottled water supply, and the rental of mobile infrastructure, as well as WaterTight, a solution designed to ensure robust supply for commercial customers. The company operates both in scheduled operations and in response to unforeseen incidents, relying on an expanding national network, cutting-edge technology, and an operational team available 24/7.
Strategic Development and Resilience
According to Eurazeo, this investment aims to support the next phase of Water Direct's development, particularly by accelerating the expansion of its fleet and logistics network, and by enhancing its digital capabilities. The partnership is expected to improve the resilience and reliability of water supply on a national scale, for both routine operations and emergency interventions.
Sustainable Investment Focus
This marks the eighth investment by Eurazeo's Infrastructure team. Through this transaction, the group supports sustainable development goals related to climate change adaptation and access to potable water. In the statement, Eurazeo highlights the essential role played by Water Direct in maintaining continuity of public services and business activities in the UK.
