Eviden and Almaviva Forge Partnership for C-ITS Systems in Italy

Strategic Partnership Announced

Eviden and Almaviva have entered into a strategic partnership announced on February 19, 2026. This partnership supports C-Roads Italy, the Italian program dedicated to deploying C-ITS technologies under real traffic conditions. Almaviva will distribute Eviden's C-ITS Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) in Italy, enhancing its transport and mobility offerings and its MOOVA solution, an integrated, modular, and seamless mobility platform designed to connect multiple modes of transport within a unified digital ecosystem. Eviden provides a certified and proven cybersecurity product, already deployed across Europe, along with its expertise in transport-specific security ecosystems.

Integration and Services

Eviden's C-ITS PKI solution is offered as a SaaS within MOOVA and includes hosting services, technical support, and ongoing maintenance. Italian public and private sector clients will benefit from local support and end-to-end operational services, as well as from the established collaboration of more than a decade between Eviden and Almaviva.

Part of a Larger European Initiative

C-Roads Italy is part of the European C-Roads initiative, funded by the European Union and coordinating C-ITS deployments across more than 20 member states. C-ITS technologies enable vehicles to communicate with infrastructure and other road users. Eviden's robust Public Key Infrastructure ensures security, privacy, reliability, and native interoperability of interactions in vehicle-to-vehicle and vehicle-to-infrastructure (V2X) communications. Eviden's C-ITS PKI solution has been selected by the French government to design, deploy, and operate the official national public key infrastructure for cooperative intelligent transport systems.
