Eviden by Atos Ranks 58 Supercomputers in the TOP500 and Green500
Eviden, an Atos subsidiary specializing in advanced computing, announces that 58 of its supercomputing systems have been placed in the global TOP500 and Green500 rankings.
Prominent Placement in TOP500
According to Eviden's press release, 58 systems built by the company are now listed in the TOP500, including JUPITER, the fourth most powerful supercomputer in the world and the top in Europe. JUPITER has reached the ExaFlop threshold, making it the first European supercomputer to perform a quintillion calculations per second. This system was developed by the Jülich Supercomputing Centre and acquired by EuroHPC. It enables significant advancements in AI and scientific simulations for sectors such as climate and healthcare.
Leadership in the Green500
Eviden has also led the Green500 rankings for the fourth consecutive time, with its systems KAIROS, ROMEO, and the GPU Levante extension occupying the top three spots. According to the company, these systems offer a very competitive GigaFlops per watt ratio, with 73 GFlops/Watt for KAIROS, resulting in better energy efficiency and reduced costs. This performance is credited to the fifth generation of warm water cooling technology developed by Eviden.
