Eviden Launches the BullSequana XH3500 Supercomputer
Eviden, the product branch of the Atos group, has announced the launch of the BullSequana XH3500, a new supercomputer aimed at the convergence of high-performance computing and artificial intelligence.
Enhanced Performance and Sustainability
According to Eviden's press release, the BullSequana XH3500 is designed to exceed exascale performance, enhancing energy efficiency and scalability compared to its predecessor, the BullSequana XH3000. It offers an increase of over 80% in electrical power per square meter and 30% in cooling capacity per kilowatt, without increasing the rack footprint. This supercomputer incorporates an advanced hardware environment with a complete ecosystem of software and applications, aiming to accelerate scientific discoveries and industrial innovation.
Open and Modular Architecture
Eviden states that the BullSequana XH3500 features an open and modular architecture that allows customers to combine different computing, acceleration, and networking technologies to meet specific needs. Energy efficiency and cooling are key elements, incorporating the fifth generation of hot water cooling technology. This approach helps to reduce the total cost of ownership and supports heat reuse strategies, while reducing environmental impact.
Converging High-Performance Computing and AI
Eviden claims that the convergence of high-performance computing and artificial intelligence is redefining the resolution of complex challenges. The BullSequana XH3500 is presented as a solution that maximizes the value of clients' investments in the lifecycle of their computing infrastructure. With a turnover of around 1 billion euros, Eviden is committed to offering innovative and eco-efficient solutions, relying on a portfolio of over 2,100 patents and a presence in 36 countries.
