Exail Technologies Shares Continue to Rebound After ICG Shock, +2.5%
The French specialist in underwater robotics and navigation systems continues its recovery at midday, after the sharp early-month drop related to the ICG case. The stock is among the leaders of the broader Paris index, while short sellers remain numerous in the capital. The session coincides with the date of the company's annual general meeting.
A Technical Rebound Bringing the Price Back to the 200-Day Moving Average
Exail Technologies shares are up 2.35% at €108.90, compared to €106.40 at the previous close. The stock is among the top gainers in the SBF 120, in an almost stable index (+0.08%). Today's gain extends the recovery that began after a 17% drop on June 12, triggered by disagreements with financial partner ICG on the 2026 refinancing. The rebound brings the price just above the 200-day moving average, calculated at €106.38 (+2.37%), a long-term threshold already defended last week. The 20-day and 50-day moving averages, at €124.22 and €122.01, however, remain significantly above the price, with respective gaps of 12.33% and 10.75%. The RSI at 37 indicates the persistent fragility of the momentum, despite the recovery in recent sessions. Over the week, the stock is still down 9.25%, and over three months, the loss reaches 24.27%.
A Selling Pressure of 5.97% of the Capital and a Still Demanding Valuation
According to reviewed statements, six funds maintain a combined short position of 5.97% of Exail Technologies' capital, slightly down by 0.28 point over thirty days. The level remains high in absolute terms and indicates that institutional investors maintain a contrarian position on the stock, without indicating a massive covering movement after the June 12 drop. This pressure remains to be monitored without isolating it from other determinants of the stock. Moreover, the valuation remains demanding: according to the consensus of surveyed analysts, the stock is priced at about 59.9 times the expected earnings for the current fiscal year and 28.8 times those of the following year. The annual general meeting is held today, in accordance with the financial calendar. The next market milestone watched by operators will be the progress of the refinancing case with ICG, to be completed before the end of the 2026 fiscal year.
