Figeac Aéro Secures Contract with Dassault Aviation for Rafale's Canards

An Equipment Contract for the Rafale's Canards

Figeac Aéro has won a contract from Dassault Aviation to manufacture titanium fastening elements for the canards (small forward wings of the delta wings) of the Rafale fighter jet. The production will be handled by the subsidiary TOFER, located in Escalquens, Haute-Garonne, which specializes in the machining processes required for this application.

The group was chosen particularly for its techno-commercial competitiveness, technical expertise, modern facilities, and strategic location in France. Pierre Albert, Director of Defense & Energy Operations, stated that this award is a testament to the trust placed by Dassault Aviation and illustrates the group's positioning in the strategic sectors of defense and energy.

Deliveries Starting in 2026, Full Production Rate in 2027

Figeac Aéro expects to begin deliveries in 2026 and reach full production rate by 2027. This contract will utilize the group's existing production capacities and meets all its financial criteria without requiring additional investments.

The agreement follows the strategy of exposure to the Rafale, after two other contracts were concluded with Safran Aircraft Engines (manufacturer of the M88, the turbofan powering the Rafale) during the fiscal year 2025/26.

Defense Becomes a Top Growth Driver

This commitment to Dassault Aviation is part of the strategy defined by the PILOT 28 plan, which has made the defense sector a top priority. The segment now represents 11% of the group's new commercial portfolio, slightly exceeding the internal target set at 10%.

The group is confident in the gradual strengthening of the defense activities' share in its business mix, with the Rafale line having achieved notable commercial success both in France and internationally.
