GTT stock sets absolute record and targets the 230 € mark
The shares of the specialist in membrane containment technologies for LNG transport reached a new all-time high on Thursday, surpassing the previous record set the day before. The movement occurs in a favorable sector context, with European gas prices close to their 2022 peaks and persistent tension on global LNG flows linked to the Strait of Hormuz.
A historic record at 224 € extending a monthly momentum of nearly 9%
GTT reached 224.00 € during trading this Thursday, beating its previous all-time high of 223.80 €. The current price has pulled back slightly from this intraday peak, but the session marks a historic breakthrough that the stock had never previously achieved. Over one month, the gain exceeds 8.5%, and over one year, the increase approaches 43%, testifying to a solidly anchored underlying trend.
This movement is part of a favorable environment for LNG. The two new offerings presented on September 15 by GTT Energy, the unit dedicated to containment systems and energy management, aimed at methane carriers and the LNG container ship segment, have helped strengthen the group's commercial visibility. Meanwhile, European TTF gas is trading around levels close to its 2022 peaks, with the crisis surrounding the Strait of Hormuz weighing on methane carrier flows and keeping energy prices under pressure as winter approaches.
