Haffner Energy: 14 Reservations in One Month for Its Clean Fuels Program
One month after its launch, the CORE100 program by Haffner Energy has garnered 14 initial reservations for its standardized C-iC units aimed at producing intermediate-sized clean fuels. The company, specializing in sustainable biofuels, believes the program is on track to meet its targets.
Overview of the CORE100 Program
The CORE100 program involves the reservation of 100 standardized C-iC units, priced between 1,990,000 and 4,970,000 euros excluding VAT. These units are designed to develop intermediate-sized biomethanol and hydrogen projects across Europe. Three types of C-iC units are available: units producing 50 kg/h of hydrogen (400 tons per year), purified synthesis gas for the production of methanol or methane (1,700 kW), or synthesis gas for the production of electric and thermal energy (1,700 kW). The program is currently available in countries adhering to ISO standards, the metric system, and a 50 Hz electrical frequency, covering Europe and North Africa. The reservation period continues until July 30, 2026.
Economic Benefits of Standardization
CORE100 is based on the mass production of 100 standardized units, allowing for the pooling of research and development, standardization of equipment, and supplier negotiations based on guaranteed volumes. This approach results in a reduction of CAPEX by more than 50% compared to an independent unit, with an additional reduction of 30% to 40% due to the elimination of heavy civil engineering works, totaling a reduction of up to 65%. Project timelines are also reduced by four to six months compared to individual projects. Once the program is confirmed, reservations will be converted into firm orders with a production schedule spread over three years: 15 units between September 2026 and September 2027, 30 units between September 2027 and September 2028, 55 units between September 2028 and September 2029.
