In the upper ranks of the CAC 40, Schneider Electric stock rebounds 2% following Jefferies
The stock of the Rueil-Malmaison equipment manufacturer recovers in mid-afternoon, within a sharply advancing CAC 40. This rebound comes after a week marked by the digestion of the PTC acquisition announcement, with an analyst opinion upgraded the previous day.
A rebound that brings the price back to contact with its 200-day moving average at 267 €
Schneider Electric gains 2.01% to 266.35 € in trading, while the CAC 40 advances 1.04%. The stock remains down 8.97% over one week, since the announcement on October 5 of an agreement to acquire PTC for approximately 22 billion euros. This 2% rebound erases only a small portion of this weekly decline.
However, it brings the price back to 0.40% below the 200-day moving average (267.42 €), while the 20-day MA (283.75 €) and the 50-day MA (291.66 €) remain significantly higher. The RSI at 36 reflects the weakness accumulated over the period.
Jefferies raises its target to 323 € and confirms its buy rating
Jefferies raised on Thursday, October 8, its price target from 289 € to 323 €, while maintaining a buy rating on the stock. This target represents a potential of approximately 21% compared to the current price. The group had raised its targets for 2026 following its half-year results published on July 31, based on a record order book level.
The consensus of analysts on the stock can be found on the analyst opinions page. The 200-day MA at 267.42 € remains the level to watch for the rest of the session.
