Schneider Electric shares rebound 1% but remain below their moving averages
The shares of the Rueil-Malmaison-based equipment manufacturer recover at the end of the session, in a Paris market trending higher. However, they remain below their main moving averages, after a month of sharp decline. The group has also completed the financing of its acquisition of PTC.
A rebound that leaves the shares below all three moving averages
The Schneider Electric share gains 1.08% to €248.85, slightly less than the CAC 40 (+1.18%) and the SBF 120 (+1.22%). This rebound does not change the configuration: the price remains below the MM20 (a gap of 2.55%) and the MM50 (a gap of 10.10%), while the MM200 sits 7.30% higher. It follows a 14.34% decline over one month, partly linked to the announcement of the acquisition of PTC in early October, whose effect on the stock has not yet been erased.
The RSI at 41 remains neutral. Legrand, a comparable stock, rises 1.92% this Thursday after a 5.59% decline over one month. The group has completed the bond component of its financing: €6 billion raised through bonds, with maturities from 2028 to 2046, following the capital increase of the same amount announced on October 20.
Third-quarter revenue and analyst opinions in the background
The financial calendar places third-quarter 2026 revenue on today's date, following the publication of this day. As for analyst opinions, CIC Market Solutions maintained its buy rating with a target price of €325 on October 28.
Jefferies raised its target from €323 to €329 on October 27, still rated buy. These targets are well above the current share price, by about 31% for the first and 32% for the second.
In a context of high French interest rates (10-year OAT at 4.89% on October 29), the stock ranks 15th out of 40 in the CAC 40 this Thursday. The €231.4 level is the support to watch in case of further decline.
