Innate Pharma Completes Dose Escalation of IPH4502, Results Expected by End of 2026
The biopharmaceutical laboratory announced the completion of recruitment in the dose escalation part of its Phase 1 study evaluating IPH4502, a drug-conjugated antibody targeting Nectin-4. Preliminary results involving 76 patients are expected by the end of the year.
Favorable Tolerance Profile and Observed Antitumor Activity
To date, IPH4502 has shown a favorable tolerance profile, with limited hematologic toxicity. This observation supports the hypothesis that the molecule's proprietary linker causes a slow release of exatecan into the circulation, thus limiting toxicity. Preliminary antitumor activity has been observed in heavily pretreated patients with advanced solid tumors. Objective responses have been reported in urothelial carcinoma following treatment with enfortumab vedotin, as well as in non-small cell lung cancer and squamous cell carcinoma of the head and neck.
Recruitment Completed and Dose-Optimization Prospects
The IPH4502-101 study has recruited 76 patients in France and the United States in its dose escalation part. Preliminary results expected by the end of the year will guide the dose optimization phase in selected tumor types. IPH4502 is designed around three components: exatecan as the cytotoxic payload, a stable proprietary linker, and a humanized antibody targeting Nectin-4 with high affinity. In preclinical studies, the molecule demonstrated activity in models resistant to enfortumab vedotin and in tumors exhibiting low and heterogeneous expression of the target.
